Yes, It Happened - Silenced
From the story, "Yes, It Happened."
Every country was desperate. They sent spies to infiltrate, dictate, manipulate, and regulate what happened. The global community became the global catastrophe, and global panic became the new norm. The American prison system’s power brokers were infuriated. Their financial bottom line was built upon a bottomless pit of incarceration of brown people. But that money pot had come under threat at the arrival of a glorious new phenomenon – a marvel, a miracle, a manifest blessing of hope for the black community. In this small, insignificant, impoverished town, in the blink of an eye, brown 4th and 5th grade boys could read at a college level. This marked an influx of brown competitors into the market of academics – a threat which the great powers wouldn’t take lying down.
Yes, it just happened.
